The right to life is the most important right that we have. Several states in our country still allow the capital punishment for criminals who have committed horrific crimes but not an innocent unborn child. It seems that our culture in today’s time is strictly based on convenience and about themselves. Abortion should be ban it is wrong, irresponsible and goes against God’s word.
Abortion is an ethically wrong decision but it is option for a parent. It is illegal to take the life of another human being. The baby is alive and not just some group of cells. At fertilization, the genetic composition of humans is formed. This genetic information determines gender, eye color, hair color, and facial features. It also influences characteristics such as intelligence and personality. Abortion does destroys a living innocent baby that has not done anything to be killed. It is wrong.
Abortion is selfish. It is the ultimate rejection of personal responsibility. Mother Teresa said that “it is poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.” If you are responsible enough to have sex, then you need to be responsible for the outcome. Sometimes we do make mistakes, but it is necessary to own up to them especially if another life is at stake. A baby conceived at an inconvenient time may affect goals or plans, but that does not mean that your life has to end because you have a baby. Someone else’s life will end with an abortion, and that is your baby’s.
The Bible teaches that abortion is wrong. The Bible teaches that human life is different from other types of life, because human beings are made in the very image of God. The creation of man and woman in Genesis 1:26-31;2:4-25 tell us this ” God created man in his image; in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them.” The image of God this is what it means to be human. We are not just a bunch of cells randomly thrown together by some impersonal forces. Rather, we really reflect an eternal God who knew us from before we were made, and purposely called us into being.
Abortion is wrong in many ways, it’s an escape from reasonability and it goes against Gods words. It is manslaughter, the child is living no matter what. It lets you get away from your mistake when there was ways to prevent it. It not only breaks the Fifth Commandment, “Thou shalt not kill’. It breaks all of the commandments.
