My research shows, that a person’s age has an impact on what physical activities people participate in to stay healthy. There is definitely a difference in the types of activities that individuals play or participate in, because of age. The following is supportive evidence of this statement.
First I interviewed Ashley, a 16 year old girl of American/Peruvian ethnicity. She is very athletic and exercises almost everyday. She enjoys swimming, running, and soccer. When I asked her about why she enjoys these activities, she said “I love any sports that are fast paced, that keeps my attention and uses teamwork. Living in an American family, Ashley believes that her love for sports is influenced by the fact that most members of her family also enjoy physical activity. She says “I’m always surrounded by family members and classmates participating in sports, and I want to be a part of it too.”
