My name is Cheremie Malabanan I’m 20 years old and I’m already a bachelor degree. I took up Bachelor of Science in Internation Travel and Tourism Management in Lyceum of the Philippines University in that degree I learned the business aspects, food hygiene, business plan and managing people and organizations. Upon achieving my degree we need to have a internship to be able to graduate, I take my internship abroad in United States of America in Kansas City. My job there is a food server in a five star hotel and also sometimes if there’s a big event in our hotel I also do banquet server every Saturday after my morning shift. For almost four months being trained I will literally say that I gained a lot of experience especially in Food and Beverage Department because in our kitchen our head chef’s and co-servers they teach us to be a better person in the future by that I feel motivated and to pursue my dreams and career.
I am writing this letter because I decided to pursue my dreams to be a successful chef in the future so I applied study abroad in Sydney Australia, I’m just a ordinary girl looking for a self fulfilment and success in life by that reason I choose to apply Commercial Cookery course in Canterbury Business College because I want to broadened my skills and capabilities as a future chef and I think Canterbury Business College is a great choice to take my degree because they provide a quality education and they are also the leading vocational colleges in Sydney. I decided to take Commercial Cookery because for me the essence of cooking excites my whole being, cooking has been my passion when I was in high school its really amazes me how food can change the mood of every human being in each and every bite. In Philippines we celebrate festivals and every festivals, food plays the enormous role. I always helped my grandmother to cooked the famous dishes in our hometown which helped me develop my love and skills for cooking as I grow up.
