Homer, Odysseus and Beowulf are all consider to be an epic hero. A brave and noble character in an epic poem. Admired for their brave heroic action through the grand event. There are specific characteristics admired by their society. They fight for noble cause, defending society from dangerous and destructive time. Often seeking for fame and reward in return for their heroic action and adventures. In modern day, heroes are just ordinary people like doctors, firefighter or even teachers. Even though they both represent their society, modern heroes don’t seek for fame or reward. On many occasions, Epic heroes have ultimate strength compared to modern heroes. Taking advantage of their incomparable strength to win battles, unlike modern society it does not take physical strength to give good deeds.
